get to know me
I grew up in a small town back in the days when it was still a thing to be born in GDR. Anyhow I ended up in Munich, working as a camera assistant and projectionist before I started studying cinematography at the well known film academy Baden-Württemberg and the la fémis in Paris. I traveled the world and finished my studies. For my diploma film "Porn Punk Poetry" I won the Michael Ballhaus First Steps Award. In 2015 we shot the miniseries "The Braun Family" and won an international Emmy for it. The documentary "Perro" had its world premiere at the Berlinale. I'm shooting feature films, documentaries and series as well as music videos. Besides that passion I'm painting on all sorts of things and tattoo people, who dare to come and get one done by me. I'm a member of the German Film Academy and the Cinematographinnen - women cinematographers network and I'm living with my family in Leipzig.
